Sixth Form Applications

Sixth Form Admissions

Applications to join the Sixth Form should be completed online and can be submitted at any time during the academic year.

Shoreham Academy warmly welcomes applications to our Sixth Form, and we are delighted to welcome external applicants. The Published Admissions Number for the Sixth Form (which is the number of places held for external applicants) is 30. If fewer than 150 of the school’s Year 11 students are offered a place, then this number will increase until Year 12 is full (max 180 students).

All students, whether progressing from our own Year 11 or joining us from other schools, are required to meet the same academic entry standards to create a supportive and successful learning environment.

Full details on these requirements for each subject can be found on our website If we receive more applications than there are places, we will apply our oversubscription criteria as set out above, to ensure a fair selection process. Students already at the Academy are automatically eligible to transfer to Year 12, provided they meet the entry requirements.

Our open evenings give prospective students and parents the opportunity to meet the principal and find out what Shoreham Academy can offer them. Parents seeking a place for their child during the academic year are warmly encouraged to contact the school to arrange a guided tour.

The prospectuses for both Shoreham Academy and Shoreham Academy Sixth Form, which give further information, can be downloaded via the links on this page.

School catchment areas can and do overlap and it does not preclude anyone from applying for any school. Please see admissions criteria on West Sussex admissions page for how places are allocated.
